SAMK Pori Campus is an example of higher education architecture in Finland from the recent decade. It is the main campus of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) which has several campuses in the region. The digitalisation of education has shaped the design of new learning environments. The educational spaces are designed to enable configurable teaching methods, i.e. touch screens are an important element of the classrooms. The standard 85 m2 classrooms for 42 students can be divided into two spaces for the use of smaller teaching groups. The SAMK based HILL concept for internet-based contact teaching can be used in all the classrooms.

The campus is located right next to the Pori railway station, the bus station and Riihiketo housing area from the 1950s and 1960s. Pori based architect Matti Asmala (Arkkitehti Oy Asmala) won the invitation competition of the new campus. The construction began in December 2014, and the campus building was completed in spring 2017. Teaching on the new campus started at the start of the autumn semester in 2017.
